Apollis Cottage – Guest House Accommodation Concordia, Namaqualand, Northern Cape

Apollis Cottage Property

The 4 star Apollis Cottage Guest House is situated 17 km outside Springbok and 6 km outside Concordia, Namaqualand, a beautiful area in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. To get to this gem you will travel for 10 km on the N14 and then for 6 km on a gravel road.

Opened in 2012, it is owned by Annie Vonk and Bernard Vonk. The guest house is Annie’s dream realised: To open a guest house on the farm land she grew up on – a way to give birth to a legacy of the Apollis family. Inside you will find traces of the family legacy through pictures of the parents, children and grandchildren. There are also pieces of furniture from the original house that have been kept and restored, a way to preserve the memory of ‘Ouma’s house’.

The Sand RoomThe 4 star guest house boasts 3 large bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms, as well as a large lounge/dining room area, a porch, growing garden and braai area at the back. Owner very friendly and helpful. We felt like home. Especially the meals and breakfast were very tasteful and we had interesting conversations concerning the actual life the area, but also about the past. Wonderful for plant lovers in spring.

Fantastic luxury green hideaway on a dirt road in the semi desert near Springbok. Fantastic comfort. Incredible starry nights. Superb hospitality from the staff.
Excellent, peaceful, quiet, completely renovated, lovely and caring service. You’re treated as VIP, can enjoy the milky way at night outside in the lovely garden, and can sleep with no chance to hear anything from the neighbours.
